This week was cut short with the snowstorm, but we had one day to learn together about the symbols of the state of Utah. We learned that Utah is called the "Beehive State" and made our own beehives. Hopefully you were able to enjoy learning about our state bird, the seagull at home. We also had fun listening to the state song and learning a bit of it in our poem. In math, we focused on greater than, less than, and equal. Enjoy the few pictures I was able to get!
We had a great week having lots of fun learning with Valentine's Day themed activities. We did many fun things with candy hearts and candy kisses. We enjoyed making a pretend Hershey kiss and writing if we like getting hugs or kisses from our families the best. We have been working hard on leaving spaces between our words and giving a reason that makes sense when we write opinions. Our favorite thing was turning a candy heart into something new and writing about it! Our week included our fun Valentine's Day party. Thank you to our awesome parents who donated supplies and came to help out. The kids had a wonderful time. Enjoy the pictures! :)
