OU and OW sounds, Zoo Fun, Earth Day, and Motion

We had a great last week on track!  In phonics, we learned about the OU and OW sounds.  We had some fun with band-aids, to help us remember that the sounds say "OW!" like when you get hurt.  We even wrote OUCH! stories.  We also practiced the sounds with a cOW and mOUse and enjoyed writing stories about them too.  On Tuesday, we did some fun animal activities after our field trip.  We also celebrated Earth Day this week and learned about some ways to help the Earth.  And we had a great time in science learning about force and motion.  We focused on push and pull and also had Jacob's dad...who is a science specialist for the state...come in and do an activity with pendulums.  We had a blast!  Enjoy the pictures and see you in 3 weeks!  :) 

Zoo Field Trip

We had a really fun day at the Hogle Zoo!  The weather was beautiful and the animals were all out for us to see!  We had lots of people taking pictures, so enjoy!  :)
