Easter

This week, we did some fun Easter-themed activities.  We had fun using plastic eggs for math and literacy practice and doing some centers with carrots and bunnies.  We made a craft of the Easter bunny getting stuck and wrote about how we would get him out.  (Answers included things like shovels, plungers, and rope)!  We got to do some fun painting with Peep paint!  We turned a Peep into something else, like a ninja, skunk, or flower for a class book.  We read the book "Duck!  Rabbit!" and decided for ourselves whether we thought the picture in the book looked like a duck or rabbit and then wrote about it. We also learned how to draw the Easter bunny and wrote what we would like to do if we were the Easter bunny. In math, we focused on making partners of numbers. Our favorite thing this week was a surprise visit from the Easter bunny on our playground! He let us all go find 2 eggs with a little treat inside. Enjoy the pictures!
