Gingerbread Man Fun

We had a great time reading several versions of the gingerbread man story this week.  We focused on learning about what characters are in a story, the -an family, and paid attention to the sequence of the stories.  We also compared and contrasted the different versions of the story.

We made our own gingerbread man big book.

We tasted gingerbread men and wrote down the order we ate him in.

We graphed our results and eating the head first seemed to be the winner!

We also wrote about how our gingerbread men tasted!

We learned about periods, question marks, and exclamation marks this week.

We sorted them and have been working on identifying them in sentences.

We also wrote all about Santa and labeled a picture of him!

On Friday, we played reindeer games in the gym!

Here are some fun things we did in computers:

Christmas is Coming!

We had a great first week back on track and got all ready for Christmas.  We made ourselves into elves and hung them from the ceiling!

We learned about what a need is and what a want is and made stockings full of needs and wants.

In math, we learned how to recognize, count, and write teen numbers.

Here is a song they LOVE about teen numbers:

Our Santas turned out so cute!  Thanks for all your help with them!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a fun last week before going off track!  We spent our time doing some Thanksgiving activities.  We made turkey hand prints, listened to Thanksgiving stories, wrote about what we are thankful for, and learned about syllables.  Enjoy the pictures!  Happy Thanksgiving everyone!  :)
