This week was so busy! We had lots to learn and many fun, extra activities too! We learned all about the long E sound and focused on the ee and ea spelling patterns. We made a long E sheep and a long E tree with leaves. We also practiced with words that ended in -nk and -ng. In math, we practiced solving story problems involving teen numbers and three addends. We also learned how to count large piles of objects using tens and ones. In science, we talked about water. We discussed ways we use water, where water is found, the water cycle, and also had a fun sink and float experiment! For art this week, we learned how to draw Mo Willems' characters from his Elephant and Piggie and Pigeon books. The kids got to make their own story book page and had a great time.
We also enjoyed an assembly about goal setting put on my the Utah Grizzlies. We had a couple of friends from our class get chosen to go up! We also had a great time with Parents and Pastries and Grandparents Day. Thank you to everyone who came to support their kids! To top it all off, we had the Forza soccer coaches come teach PE this week and had a blast! Enjoy the pictures!
