Dr. Seuss Week, Oa and Ow, and Contractions
We had a fun week celebrating Dr. Seuss! We read a lot of books, played games, made our own "Wocket in a Pocket" book, made our own mixed up animals like in "Horton Hatches an Egg," learned how to draw the Cat in the Hat, wrote "Green Eggs and Ham" poems, and our favorite was making oobleck! In spelling and phonics, we worked on the oa and ow sounds. We made boats and wrote stories using the words! We also worked on contractions and had fun making a contraction caterpillar, crashing cars with contraction words, and doing contraction bandaids. Enjoy the pictures!
