This week we had a lot of fun learning about different sea creatures! We read the story of the rainbow fish and made our own fish with shiny scales! We learned about sea turtles and had fun making our own sea turtle craft. We enjoyed making a watercolor aquarium and doing math with seashells. We had some ninth graders come to our school to practice teaching a lesson as well. Enjoy the pictures!
This week was so fun because we learned about plants! We talked about the parts of a plant, the needs of a plant, and also about the life cycle of a plant. We made our own diagram of a flower and planted some "grass-head" creatures. We dissected a seed to see the baby root and leaves inside of it. We did some fun plant themed centers. In math we worked on measurement and compared the length, height, and weight of objects. We also had fun having a visit at our school from Discovery Gateway Children's museum. They taught us about forces and motion, such as push and pull. Enjoy the pictures!
