Easter

Last week, we did some fun Easter-themed activities.  We had fun using plastic eggs for math and literacy practice and doing some centers with carrots and bunnies.  We made a craft of the Easter bunny getting stuck and wrote about how we would get him out.  (Answers included things like shovels, plungers, and rope)!  We also got to do some fun painting and made an Easter bunny for our portfolios.  We read the book "Duck!  Rabbit!" and decided for ourselves whether we thought the picture in the book looked like a duck or rabbit and then wrote about it.  We also used watercolors to paint our own umbrellas and boots and wrote what we like to do when it rains.   In math, we introduced the concept of 3D/solid shapes and learned how they are different from 2D/flat shapes.  Enjoy the pictures!
