Dr. Seuss Week!

We had the best week together in kindergarten!  We spent the whole week celebrating Dr. Seuss and did many fun activities and read several of his greatest books.  We made our own "Green Eggs and Ham" class book using food pictures from magazines.  The pages said, "I would not eat green eggs and ham, but I would eat..."  The kids filled them in with all sorts of funny things like "Lucky Charms on alarms, cake on a snake, spaghetti on a machete, and berries on cherries."  We made our own picture of the cover of "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish," using our hands for fish.  We even got a yummy colorful fish snack!  We also made Thing 1 or Thing 2 using our hand-prints and wrote "-ing" words around them.  We made a class Dr. Seuss ABC book and also a "Wocket in my Pocket" book!  Our favorite activity was reading "Bartholomew and the Oobleck" and then making oobleck together!  Add that to all the fun Dr. Seuss centers and math activities and it was one of our best weeks ever!  Enjoy the pictures!  :)
