Long i Sounds, Composing Shapes, and 5 Senses

This week was full of fun!  We learned our last new vowel pattern for the year!  We talked about other long i sounds, like y, ie and igh.  We made an "i pie", swatted flies, sorted french fries, made an ight pad, wrote a story about a magic light bulb, and more!  In math, we continued our work with shapes.  We learned that you can put two or more shapes together to make new shapes!  We had fun composing new 2D and 3D shapes.  We also learned about our five senses.  We popped popcorn and used our 5 senses to observe it.  We went on a nature walk around the school and used our 5 senses.  We also played a fun game where we had to use our sense of hearing to listen to a sound and guess what it was.  Enjoy the pictures!
