5 Senses Wrap-Up, Measurement, and Great Artist

This week we finished up our unit on the five senses.  We worked on sorting things by the 5 senses, we played 5 senses BINGO, and we made a 5 senses craft.  Our favorite thing was the smelling experiment!  We had 6 containers filled with different things and we had to use our sense of smell to make a hypothesis about what it was.  Then I told them what it really was and we checked our guess!  It was a lot of fun!  In math, we learned how to order things by measurement and also worked on measuring things with paperclips.  We also had Luke's mom come in and teach us our last Great Artist lesson!  We studied Paul Cézanne's painting, Pommes et Oranges.  We drew some apples and oranges and learned how to shade and blend colors!  Enjoy the pictures!
