This week, we spent the whole week celebrating Dr. Seuss and did many fun activities and read several of his greatest books. We read "The Cat in the Hat" and then made Thing 1 or Thing 2 by blowing paint with a straw. We made our own "Green Eggs and Ham" class book using food pictures from grocery ads. The pages said, "I would not eat green eggs and ham, but I would eat..." The kids filled them in with all sorts of funny things like "wings on kings, cake on a snake, noodles on poodles, and berries on cherries." We made our own picture of the cover of "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish," using our hands for fish. We also made a "Wocket in my Pocket" book! Our favorite activity was reading "Bartholomew and the Oobleck" and then making oobleck together! In math, we learned all about spheres, cones, cubes, and cylinders. Our favorite thing was bringing in items from home to show the class. Enjoy the pictures! :)
