Spring!

This week we had fun celebrating the arrival of spring!  We painted umbrellas and boots and wrote what we like to do when it rains.  We wrote our own version of "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs."  We focused on writing a beginning, middle, and end.  They came up with stories like Cloudy With a Chance of Pizza, Ice Cream, Carrots, and more!  Our favorite part was sharing our stories with each other.  We made a class book where we turned a Peep into something new - the Peeps became things like Spiderman, a dog, and a butterfly. We also spent a lot of time reviewing magic E. In math, we learned the difference between 2D and 3D shapes.  We also had a special visit from our school nurse, who came and taught us about germs and how to wash our hands properly.
