C&G, Long A, Adding 2-Digit Numbers, Needs&Wants, and Goods & Services

This week we worked on the long A sound in phonics.  We practiced reading and writing words that ended with a silent e.  We also learned that C and G each make 2 sounds...a hard sound and a soft sound.  In math we learned how to add tens and ones to each other!  The kids were pretty excited to add such big numbers.  For social studies, we studied the difference between needs and wants and also goods and services.  We also had a fun time doing another Great Artist project!  We drew and colored a goldfish picture like Henri Matisse.  Enjoy the pictures...and your 3 day weekend!  :)
