Final Consonant Blends, Using A or An, and Animal Group Wrap-Up

This week we worked really hard at school!  We learned how to use a, an, and the in our writing.  We also worked on spelling and reading words with blends at the end of the word.  We reviewed the short u sound in spelling.  We made ourselves into elves and wrote elf applications and letters to Santa.  We took math tests this week to wrap up our unit on solving mixed story problems and equations.  The kids did great!  In science, we reviewed all of the animal groups we have talked about the last few weeks and did some fun group reports and animal investigating.  We also enjoyed a choir assembly and an assembly about how to be safe on the road.  Enjoy the pictures!
