Snowmen At Night

This week, we did many fun activities about winter, snow, and snowmen.  We also learned all about what makes day and night and what we can see in the day and in the night.

We tied our activities together with the fun story, "Snowmen At Night."  You can watch it here:

We wrote about what our snowmen would do during the day or night and also sorted objects we can see in the day or night.

We also learned the "sh" sound.  We did a fun song and dance and made SHarks to hunt for fish that had words on them that started with the sh sound too.

We decorated our outside bulletin board with snowmen and also made ourselves into sledders for our ceiling.

More fun winter-themed math games and centers:

We played "snowball fight" in PE.  We each wrote a word wall word on a piece of paper and crumpled it up like a snowball.  Then we had a snowball fight while listening to songs from Frozen.  When the music stopped, we opened up our snowball and read the word!  It was a lot of fun!
