This week, we learned about the symbols of Utah! We talked about the state flower, animal, bird, fish, tree, and more. We did some informational writing and enjoyed learning about some famous places and landmarks in Utah as well. We learned that Utah is called the "Beehive State" and made our own beehives. We also wrote about our favorite thing about living in Utah. The kids wrote things like skiing in the mountains, going to the Jazz game, hiking to Delicate Arch, seeing Temple Square, and visiting the Great Salt Lake. We made fun maps with special things from Utah on them. And also made our state bird, a seagull! We worked on comparing numbers and introduced 3D shapes in math. Enjoy the pictures!
