This week, we read the book "The Mitten" and did many activities about mittens and other winter clothes. We had a good time acting out and retelling the story and writing our own page for a class mitten book. We learned the "th" sound in this week and made a "thinking thumb" to help us hunt for "th" words around the room. For math, we focused on composing shapes - making new shapes by combining one or more shapes! Enjoy the pictures!

Winter, Snow, and the Sh Sound
This week we continued with our winter and snow theme! We made some shark puppets to help us learn a new sound: sh! Our sharks went around the room and ate fish with sh words on them. We also wrote sentences about our favorite thing to do in the winter time and wrote about what we think snowmen do at night. In math, we continued working on teen numbers, specifically seeing them as a group of ten and ones. Enjoy the pictures!
