We had a great time in school the last week and a half doing fun things with turkeys, pumpkin pie, and all things Thanksgiving! We have been working on vowel sounds, reading CVC words (i.e. cat, mop), b and d reversals, and we learned about syllables in words with Syllable Sam! We wrote about who we would like to invite to Thanksgiving dinner and why. We labeled a turkey and practiced sentence writing with what we were thankful for. In math, we worked on counting objects to 10, putting numbers in 10 frames, recognizing and writing numbers to 10, solving story problems, and solving equations. Enjoy the pictures!

Pumpkins
This week we did some fun things with pumpkins! We matched capital and lowercase letters, listened for beginning sounds in words, and wrote about pumpkins. We also learned about the parts of a pumpkin and made our own pumpkin craft. We hunted for words in the "-in" word family. In math, we focused on representing numbers with ten frames. We used our fun pumpkin trays to do that! Enjoy the pictures!
