Chicka Chicka Boom Boom

This week, we had a fun time with the book, "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom."  We focused on the letters in the alphabet and the letters in our name.  We made our own tree with paper and put our name on it with stickers.  We also made a class book about the alphabet falling out of the tree and getting hurt.  We even got to use real band-aids on our pages!  In math this week, we focused on learning the four basic shapes: circles, squares, triangles, and rectangles.  We talked about things in real life that are each shape, we hunted for shapes, and practiced drawing the shapes.  Enjoy the pictures!

Pete the Cat

This week, we had a fun time with the book "Pete the Cat."  Pete loves his colorful shoes!  We hunted for Pete's shoes around the room, wrote our own Pete the Cat story page, made our very own Pete, and also played some other fun games with him.  We also read "A Color of His Own" and painted a chameleon after hiding him in something that was the same color.  We are also working hard on writing our numbers and letters correctly and did some fun centers to help us practice these concepts.  Enjoy the pictures!
