This week we did some fun things with pumpkins! We matched capital and
lowercase letters, listened for beginning sounds in words, and wrote
about pumpkins. We also learned
about the parts of a pumpkin and made our own pumpkin craft. We hunted
for words in the "-in" word family. In math, we focused on representing numbers with ten
frames. We used our fun pumpkin trays to do that! We also learned a new shape, the hexagon! Enjoy the pictures!

More Fall Fun and Rhyming
This week, we did some more activities that had to do with fall! We did some subtraction practice by taking away leaves from a tree and squishing playdoh dots on a mat. We had a great time opening secret bags and counting what was inside! We
have also
been working hard on listening for words that rhyme. We read "Rhyming
Dust Bunnies" and then made our own dust bunnies. We also made
a funny rhyming flip-flap book. The kids used their creativity and
imagination! We had fun going on a hunt for rhyming words around the room with clipboards and our friends. Enjoy the
pictures!
