Snowmen

This week we did some fun things with snowmen! We made a new snowman art project for our bulletin board using painted bubble wrap. Our favorite thing was using "magic snowman paint" to make a melted snowman and writing about why he melted. We also learned about penguins and practiced writing sentences about them. We also wrote sentences about why we liked winter. We learned the "ch" sound and made an axe so we could go around the room and chop some logs while learning words that started with that sound. In math, we began our unit on addition. Enjoy the pictures!

Christmas

What a wonderful last week we had together before Christmas break! We played lots of fun Christmas games and did many Christmas-themed learning activities. We learned about punctuation marks and practiced with periods, question marks, and exclamation marks. We talked about the difference between things we need and things we want and made a stocking to show what we had learned. We made ourselves into elves and also wrote how we would catch Santa. We also thought about a way to make the Grinch happy! We all had a great time the last day of school with our sing-a-long in the morning. Then we enjoyed boarding the Polar Express, riding the train, listening to the story, wearing our pajamas, and drinking hot chocolate. Enjoy the pictures!
